Jumpstart School with Bilingual Story Times at Harrison Public Library

In this multilingual town and multilingual world, it is vital that children are exposed to different languages and cultures. Bilingual story time at Harrison Public Library is a great place to start.

In addition to the popular regular children's programs at the West Harrison Library such as Mother Goose, crafts, karaoke, train time, open play, book club, and story times in English over the past few months, the library has introduced bilingual story times.

In this increasingly global and multilingual world it is vital that children are exposed to different languages and cultures. The library has been offering well attended Spanish-English bilingual story times since the fall, which have been a great hit with native English and Spanish speakers alike.

Recently the library introduced a Chinese-English bilingual story time which will resume after the summer.

For adults who wish to practice their English, Chinese, or Swedish conversational skills we offer Conversation Partners by appointment.

Stop by the library and say "hello," "hola," or, "nǐ hǎo!" Information about library programs can be found on www.harrisonpl.org or call 914-948-2092.
