New Rochelle Man Arrested For Drug Possession
A New Rochelle man is facing numerous drug possession charges after police say he was caught with marijuana and cocaine after a traffic stop on Halstead Avenue.
Police stopped Timothy Clancey, 25, of 24 Crest Ave., New Rochelle, on March 13 at 3:52 p.m., after they say he failed to signal during a turn on Halstead Avenue. While interviewing the suspect the officer discovered Clancey had a revoked driver's license. The officer also noticed two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes in the vehicle's center console.
At that time Clancey was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. During subsequent searches of the suspect police found four clear bags of what they believe to be cocaine.

Clancey was also charged with third and fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on $1,000 cash bail and is due in court March 22.
Police Charge Man With Assault at St. Vincent's Hospital
Harrison police arrested a patient at St. Vincent's Hospital on March 14 after a manager at the hospital reported that the patient assaulted him when he refused to let him use the telephone.

Police say the inmate, Ricardo Sanchez, 33, punched a hospital manager in the head several times, fracturing his nose and injuring his right eye, on March 11. The manager also told police that Sanchez had threatened to hurt other people in the hospital, located at 275 North Street, during other incidents.
Police charged Sanchez with assault and transported him to police headquarters. He was held in Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail until his court date on March 15.
