Police Beat: Attempted Larceny and Public Lewdness
A summary of arrests this week from the Harrison Police Department.

Failed larceny attempt at cvs
Police are looking for two men who a CVS store manager says took an LCD TV from the the store's shelf and attempted to exchange it for a cash refund.
Harrison police responded to the CVS on Halstead Avenue on Feb. 3, at about 8:30 p.m. The store's manager, Alexis Nunez, told police that at about 8 p.m. two black males entered the store and grabbed the television from a shelf and brought it to the front desk asking for a cash refund of $129.99.

Nunez told the men to wait in the store and called police, but both men left before authorities arrived. The store promised to send security video to the police when it become available.
The first man is described as about six feet tall with a salt and pepper beard, the second is about 5'8" with black hair. The store wishes to pursue charges is the men are caught.Â

This is the second time in less than a year that someone has attempted to return merchandise to the store without paying. Last August a Mamaroneck man was more than $100 worth of stolen Crest White Strips for a cash refund.
man caught urinating on police property, police sayA 49-year-old New Jersey man faces public lewdness and tampering charges after police say they caught him on police property urinating on a piece of crime-fighting equipment.
Police say they caught Horacio Puentes of Plainfield, NJ, laughing while he urinated on the side of the department's mobile command unit on Feb. 3, at 11:40 a.m. Puentes was placed under arrest at the scene, processed and later released on $220 cash bail.
