West Harrison Farmers Market Set to Open in June

The market was green-lighted earlier this year and will open for the first time on June 4.

Fresh breads, cheeses, olive oils and baked goods will be available for sale from the streets of Silver Lake every Saturday this summer starting in the first week of June.

The West Harrison Farmers Market will open for business on June 4, it will operate every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. until October 29. Tables filled with fresh produce will be setup on the Lake Street lower parking lot next to the village green.

Denise Di Biasi, of Purchase, has worked for months to organize the market with the hopes that it will bring some needed foot traffic for West Harrison businesses in the area. The Harrison Town Board earlier this spring.

The market is set to be managed by Bensidoun USA, a Chicago-based company that runs the White Plains Farmers Market as well as 15 markets in the Chicago area.
