Whiz Kid: Max Jaffe
Harrison Patch's choice for a local child, teen or student achieving great things. This week we spotlight University of Maryland club lacrosse player Max Jaffe.

Max Jaffe, a 2009 Harrison High School graduate, is a sophomore on the University of Maryland club lacrosse team.
Recently Max attended the inaugural Urban League Lacrosse Summit, which was hosted by Metro Lacrosse Inc. The summit is geared toward providing local students the opportunity to play lacrosse in urban areas where the sport is otherwise unavailable.Â
An honor student at Harrison High School, Max has been involved with public service for years. He worked for the American Diabetes Association before becoming involved with the Urban League Lacrosse Summit.

The summit not only teaches lacrosse to kids in urban areas, but provides other opportunities for success in the classroom and in local Maryland communities. All money raised in the Urban League Lacrosse Summit goes to sponsoring summer camps, leadership programs and other high school activities up to the college exploration process.
On the competitive side, Max is currently in his second year playing for the University of Maryland's Division I travel club lacrosse team.
