Hydrant Flushes Planned for Wednesday

Westchester Joint Water Works will be flushing fire hydrants in various parts of Harrison on Wednesday, homes in certain areas could experience brown water.

Keep an eye out for brown water in the Harrison area this week, as Westchester Joint Water Works flushes hydrants on about 50 streets in town.

The hydrants will be flushed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and again from 10 p.m. overnight until 6 a.m. Thursday.

WJWW said that people in affected areas could experience brown water. If that is to occur they recommend customers run cold water from one sink in the home until it becomes clear. After that there shouldn't be any problems.
