  1. Brooklyn tenants and activists marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to demand a continuation of a state-wide eviction moratorium, set to expire next weekend. Especially, they say, evictions shouldn't be taking place during the coldest season of the year. Hochul has made it clear over the past couple days that she has no intention of continuing the moratorium. (Brooklyn Paper)
  2. Artists can apply for a one-year rent-free studio residency in DUMBO, applications are open through mid-February. (Hyperallergic)
  3. Newly-elected Council Member Crystal Hudson, who represents Fort Greene and Bed Stuy, rejected two rezoning proposals along Atlantic Avenue during her first week in office, calling for more community input. Her move is unprecedented, according to the real estate industry. (The Real Deal)
