- Multiple subway lines, including the B, are suspended due to staffing shortages as MTA workers test positive for COVID. Additionally, the A and 3 trains are running with delays. (NYC Patch)
- Permits were filed for a 38-story high-rise at 55 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The building looks like it would be majority residential, and there's no projected completion date as of now. (New York YIMBY)
- Mayor Adams announced that public schools would remain open throughout the Omicron surge, stating in an interview that "calmness is competency," and saying that schools are a safer place for students than their home community. Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO have seen an average of 134 daily cases over the past week. (NYC Patch)
