167 Student-Artists Featured In Young Artists Exhibition At Harborfields Public Library

A reception was held on April 23 and a small group of standout students were recognized with a ribbon of excellence in various categories.

GREENLAWN, NY — Harborfields High School artists were in the spotlight at this year’s annual Young Artists Exhibition at the Harborfields Public Library, the school district announced.

This year, the month-long exhibition featured 225 incredible pieces of artwork created by 167 students in grades 9 through 12.

A reception was held on April 23 and a small group of standout students were recognized with a
ribbon of excellence in various categories, including Fashion Design & Illustration, Drawing &
Painting, Computer Art, and Digital Photography.

"This recognition reflects the originality and creativity of the students' artwork," the district wrote.

Additionally, seniors Sebastian Moyano-Gonzalez and Madeleen Hernandez-Guillen won Best Overall Portfolio and Best Overall Breadth of Work, respectively.

Three students, Evelyn Bavaro (9), Chloe Goettinger (10), and Julian Tchinnis (11), were recognized as Promising Young Artists.

"We are incredibly proud of our talented student artists whose creativity was on full display at this
year’s Young Artists Exhibition," a spokesperson for the district said. "It’s a true testament to the
amazing students and the dedicated art teachers who inspire such talent!"

The Harborfields Central School District congratulated all the participating students for their artistic achievements. It thanked the Harborfields Public Library for "providing a space to showcase these incredible students and their artwork."
