92-Year-Old Man In Mobility Scooter Seriously Hurt In Greenlawn Crash: Police
The pedestrian was struck while crossing an intersection on Monday afternoon, Suffolk County police say.
GREENLAWN, NY — A 92-year-old Greenlawn man using a mobility scooter was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle at a Greenlawn intersection Monday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
Brian Finkelstein, 37, of Centerport, was driving on Manor Road when he struck a pedestrian who was crossing the intersection at Cuba Hill Road at about 2:26 p.m. on Monday, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said the pedestrian, Ettore Bosco, was traveling on Cuba Hill Road on a mobility scooter and attempting to cross the intersection when he was hit.

Bosco was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, police said. Finkelstein was not hurt.
Police impounded Finkelstein's vehicle for a safety check, according to investigators.
