Board Game by Local Huntington Couple Takes Off on Kickstarter!
Husband and wife duo finding unexpected success from eager fans worldwide
Huntington, NY - Just last week on Tuesday May 20, local Huntington couple Skyler Badalament-Tirrell and Nile Matsuda launched the Kickstarter campaign for Tournament Arc, a new game they have been working on together since January 2023. Their one-of-a-kind sports anime card game broke through its initial funding goal of $5,000 in just 16 minutes! People all over the world are showing their excitement for this game and are pre-ordering it through the Kickstarter campaign, bringing the total funding to over 600% of the initial goal within just the first week of the 30 day campaign.
The campaign has also earned the coveted “Projects We Love” badge from the Kickstarter editorial staff, celebrating the creativity and quality of work apparent on the Tournament Arc campaign page.
In Tournament Arc, players take on the role of a coach, drafting and training their ragtag teams of student athletes for the ultimate competition. Players train their teams by playing episode cards, as if they are collectively building their own whacky sports anime. The twist is that players don’t know what sport, and thus what stats matter, until halfway through. Tournament Arc is an easy to learn and delightfully chaotic card game for 2-6 players ages 10 and up; no knowledge of sports or anime required!
