Book Revue, Long Island's Largest Independent Bookstore, To Close
The Huntington staple is being evicted after four decades of business.

HUNTINGTON, NY —The Book Revue in Huntington is Long Island's largest independent bookstore and has been a staple in the community for 40 years. The store is known for book signings as well as withstanding competition from online retailers and chain stores.
According to Newsday, the bookstore's landlord Main Corner LLC, owner of 313 New York Ave., took the business to court for non-payment of rent this past spring, and will evict the Book Revue by the end of September.
The Book Revue hasn't formally announced the closure on social media, but the business Facebook account has reshared comments asking if the news is true. Some commenters talked about wanting to start a GoFundMe for the business, saddened by the news.
