Cold Spring Harbor Spread The Warmth Campaign To Benefit Local Kids
The campaign is collecting warm hats and mittens for local children through Helping Hands Rescue Mission.

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY — Cold Spring Harbor Village is participating in a Spread the Warmth campaign to provide warm hats and mittens for local kids in need through Helping Hands Rescue Mission, according to a news release.
"Warm hats and mittens are an essential part of every child’s winter wardrobe," the news release states. "Too often, our youngest neighbors have to go without."
This holiday season, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty real estate advisors Laura Zambratto and Lauryn Koke are hosting a Spread the Warmth campaign to support local children in need through Huntington Station’s Helping Hands Rescue Mission.

Spread the Warmth will be accepting donations of new or gently used hats and mittens at participating Cold Spring Harbor businesses through Saturday, Dec. 14. Look for Spread the Warmth flyers and donation boxes around the village and enjoy special holiday shopping discounts.
Spread the Warmth is hosting a Joyful Tree Lighting Celebration with holiday music and Santa Claus from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 1 Shore Road, Cold Spring Harbor.

All are invited to attend with their children, who can bring their letters for Santa. Carolers will be filling the air with songs of holiday cheer in anticipating Santa’s 4 p.m. arrival and a tree lighting at 4:30 p.m.
Sweetie Pies on Main will be selling hot cocoa. The tree and lights were donated by Cold Spring Harbor’s Kean Development.
