Harborfields High School Class Of 2025 Celebrates Graduation
Student speakers shared "heartfelt messages of resilience, gratitude, and cherished memories."

GREENLAWN, NY — Harborfields High School recently held its graduation ceremony.
"The skies may have been a little grey, but nothing could dampen the energy and pride of the Harborfields High School class of 2025 as they gathered to celebrate the 66th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, June 28," the district wrote.
Superintendent Dr. Rory Manning reflected on the class’s 13-year journey, which began the same year he started as principal, while student speakers shared "heartfelt messages of resilience, gratitude, and cherished memories."

Valedictorian Sara Tovar-Guacaneme delivered an emotional tribute to the support systems that helped her succeed.

A "particularly moving moment" came when George Kouroutis presented a diploma to Vance Sherman, the very student whose life he helped save on that same field just a few years earlier.
Before the final farewell, Principal Philip Farrelly presented the graduates with a parting gift, a keychain with a mirror on the back.
"Let this mirror serve as a daily reminder for you to reflect, stay grounded in your purpose, and be proud of who you are becoming," Farrelly said.
And then, with caps tossed high into the air, the class of 2025 officially became the newest alumni of Harborfields High School.
