Harborfields HS Named To U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools List

The rankings rate high schools on state exam performance, graduation rates, college readiness, and success in Advanced Placement courses.

GREENLAWN, NY — Harborfields High School ranked 46th in New York state in the U.S. News & World Report public high school rankings for 2025-26, Harborfields Central School District announced.

The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 24,000 public high schools, including charter and subject-focused schools. They study graded high schools on state exam performance, graduation rates, college readiness, and student outcomes, including participation and success in Advanced Placement courses.

"We are honored that U.S. News & World Report has, once again, recognized Harborfields High School as one of the top schools in the region," said Dr. Rory Manning, superintendent of schools, in a news release. "This recognition reflects the tireless dedication of our faculty, staff, community, and, above all, our students. This achievement underscores our ongoing commitment to excellence in academics, innovation, and student growth."

Harborfields High School was one of 11 Long Island high schools to crack the top 50 in New York state, according to the rankings.

Harborfields High School has 918 students in grades 9 - 12 and aims to offer students a well-rounded experience that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and meaningful engagement.

Students benefit from a wide array of Advanced Placement and college-credit courses, a nationally recognized fine and performing arts program, and an advanced science research program. Real-world learning is fostered through internships and four Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Service and student leadership are cornerstones of the Harborfields experience.
