"We are incredibly excited!" Josette told Patch in an email.
The couple wants to launch its album via its website exclusively for now, though the album will be made available on streaming services in the fall, Josette said.
JAMM's debut album has been described as "soulful, organic, and sophisticated pop with an alternative edge." The album strives to capture the emotional depth and musical chemistry shared between the couple.
"These songs have grown with us," Josette said. "We got married just over five years ago, and this album is truly a reflection of our journey — our love, the ups and downs, and everything in between."
Mark, a seasoned musician known across the Tri-State area — and even for sharing the stage with legends like Chuck Berry — brings a rich musical legacy to the project.
"After Hours" delves into themes of love, introspection, and the nuanced layers of relationships, Josette explained.
"Our relationship is at the heart of this music — how it evolves, how it challenges and inspires," Josette said. "Each track is infused with a raw honesty and artistic maturity that invites listeners into their world."
My Father's Place is a venue that holds "deep meaning" for the Mancinis. Mark has a longtime friendship with the venue's owner. Josette called it a "special place."
"This is our first original project of all original music, and we wanted to do it right," she said.
Adding to the evening’s significance, the performance will be professionally recorded for a live album and filmed by Josette’s brother-in-law, a former video director for the United Nations, now running his own production company.
"We want this night to be a launchpad for what’s next," she said.
Audiences can expect a moving and high-energy show, filled with lush arrangements and heartfelt storytelling through music.
Josette said she and Mark have always admired artists who "blend vulnerability with strength."
"Carole King taught us that simple melodies can carry deep truths," Josette said. "Paula Cole and Kate Bush showed us how to be fearlessly expressive. Smokey Robinson reminded us that soul lives in every note when it comes from the heart."
