Huntington Police Blotter: Man Breaks Into Home, Steals Leash
ALSO: Burglar breaks into storage unit and steals television, shoes; and money stolen through retirement account, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Oct. 7 through Oct. 13.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Oct. 10: Jaimes Muller, 52, of Greenlawn, entered a Huntington home through an unlocked front door and stole a leash around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10, police said. The home was occupied during the time of the burglary, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: illegal entry into dwelling and third-degree criminal trespass: property fenced in or enclosed.
Incidents
- Oct. 8: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Park Avenue in Huntington at 4:07 p.m. Money was stolen through a retirement account on Sept. 19 and Sept. 30, police said.
- Oct. 7: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on 19th Street in Huntington Station at 1 p.m. Someone found an apartment to rent on Facebook, but the apartment did not belong to the listed seller, police said.
- Oct. 7: Burglary (third-degree) was reported in Huntington Station at 11:37 a.m. Someone noticed their storage unit was unlocked, police said. A thief had broken in and stole multiple boxes containing shoes, a television and other items, police said.
