Huntington St. Patrick's Day Parade: What You Need To Know

From the date, route, and more, here's everything to know about Huntington's 89th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

HUNTINGTON, NY — The 89th annual Huntington St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for Sunday.

The parade is slated for 2 to 4 p.m. and will assemble at the Long Island Railroad parking lots at New York Avenue and Broadway. Greg Kennedy will serve as grand marshal.

The parade will proceed on Route 110 north from Railroad and Broadway to NYS 25A. It will then turn left onto Main Street in Huntington and head west to St. Patrick's RC Church at 400 Main St.

The parade is being organized by the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

"The Huntington St. Patrick's Parade is Long Island's oldest and largest and features dozens of pipe bands, including some of the metro area's finest," the Ancient Order of Hibernians wrote on the parade site. "Few realize the expense of running such a significant event, which includes band sponsorship fees, insurance, and advertising."

The Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians organizes and pays for the parade every year since 1930; there were no parades during WWII.
