Huntington Station Deli Inspection Leads To 3 Arrests — Including Cocaine Charge: Police
The manager and two patrons were arrested during a late-night liquor authority inspection, Suffolk police said.
Huntington. Three people were arrested during a late-night inspection at Las Lajas Deli in Huntington Station on Friday according to Suffolk County police.
Second Precinct Crime Section officers, working alongside the New York State Liquor Authority, the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town Code Enforcement, conducted the inspection at the deli, located at 156 Depot Road, at 11:04 p.m.
Police said the deli’s manager, Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 44, of Huntington Station, was arrested and charged with ABC Law: Disorderly premise, a misdemeanor.

Another patron, Jose Romero-Moradel, 38, of East Northport, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers found cocaine.
A third man, Ramon Romos, 37, of Huntington Station, was charged with second degree criminal contempt, according to police.

The State Liquor Authority, Huntington Code Enforcement, and the Fire Marshal issued four violations and are continuing separate investigations into the business, police said.
Rodriguez-Romero and Romero-Moradel are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on December 11. Romos was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is expected to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court, according to police.
