Huntington Upgrades Commuter Parking For 3 Area LIRR Stations

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — Upgrades were made to the commuter parking program at the Cold Spring Harbor, Greenlawn and Northport LIRR stations, the Town of Huntington Department of Public Safety announced Thursday.

The upgrades were made to enhance commuter parking services for residents and commuters, according to the town.

Effective April 15, the Cold Spring Harbor, Greenlawn and Northport LIRR stations will now offer the option of daily parking for commuters without a permit. The daily parking fee is set at one rate of $12. The town said this provides "a convenient solution for those traveling on a day to day basis."

Users can also manage their parking session on their smartphone using the Passport Parking App. Commuters can pay, extend, and manage their parking session with ease.

Parking at the three stations are free from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, as well as all day Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.

"These upgrades signify the Town of Huntington’s commitment of enhancing the commuter experience and providing convenient solutions for residents," the town stated. "We look forward to these improvements benefiting the community and making transportation more efficient for all."
