North Babylon Educators Engage In Districtwide Professional Development
Teachers across departments collaborated on lessons in innovation, inclusion, and instructional excellence.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — North Babylon School District educators spent Nov. 4 taking part in a districtwide Professional Development Day designed to strengthen collaboration, innovation, and instructional excellence.
Facilitated by district administrators, teachers, and instructional leaders — along with several outside consultants — the day’s sessions built upon the district’s key priorities for the new school year. Many departments also attended out-of-district workshops tailored to their subject areas.
Throughout the day, educators engaged in sessions focused on topics such as inquiry-based learning, integrating AI into instruction, supporting English Language Learners, literacy data analysis, and de-escalation techniques. Teachers across all disciplines — including ENL, special education, science, and the arts — collaborated on data-driven planning, curriculum alignment, and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
