Northern State Parkway Closures Slated In Town Of Huntington
A stretch of the parkway will be closed to all traffic for a few nights.
TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — The eastbound Northern State Parkway will be closed in the Town of Huntington for a few nights starting Wednesday, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.
The parkway will be closed between exits 40 (State Route 110) and 41 (Wolf Hill Road) in the township from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. between Wednesday and Friday for a drainage rehabilitation project. The timeframe depends on the weather.
There will be a signed detour to the Long Island Expressway via Route 110.

Drivers were urged by the department to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a one's driver's license.
