Optimum Joins Island Harvest To Feed Long Islanders In Need

Company to match donations up to $10,000 ahead of Thanksgiving, organizers say.

LONG ISLAND, NY — As food banks face growing demand this holiday season, Optimum is teaming up once again with Island Harvest to help fight hunger across Long Island.

Through Thursday, Nov. 20, the company will match donations — up to $10,000 — through a virtual campaign supporting Island Harvest, the region’s largest hunger-relief organization. The effort encourages Optimum employees, residents, and businesses to donate toward Thanksgiving meals for families in need.

The total raised will be announced during Island Harvest’s 17th annual Turkey Drive on Friday, Nov. 21 — the largest food drive on Long Island — celebrating the community’s generosity and collective impact.

“Optimum is honored to continue its partnership with Island Harvest in this critical effort to help fight hunger across our local communities on Long Island,” said Jay Guy, vice president and general manager of Optimum New York in a statement. “With the need for food assistance at an all-time high, it has never been more urgent for us to come together and support our neighbors.”

The company said the campaign reflects its commitment to strengthening community connections and ensuring that Long Islanders — including families, seniors, and veterans — have access to essential resources this season.
