Overnight Lane Closures Coming To LI Expressway Service Road In Town Of Huntington
Traffic signal maintenance needs to be done. Here is a list of closures scheduled for Thursday night into Friday morning.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Overnight lane closures are slated for the Long Island Expressway North Service Road in the Town of Huntington on Thursday night, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.
The closures are scheduled for 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. at the intersection of the Long Island Expressway North Service Road and State Route 231 (Deer Park Avenue) in the Town of Huntington. Crews will work on traffic signal maintenance, weather permitting, according to the department.
- The North Service Road will be closed at Candlewood Path. Traffic will be detoured northbound on Highland Avenue to westbound Candlewood Path for approximately one mile to State Route 231.
- One lane in both directions of State Route 231 will be closed.
- The Exit 51 ramp from the westbound Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) will be closed during this time. Motorists should proceed westbound to Exit 50 towards Bagatelle Road southbound to the eastbound Long Island Expressway to Exit 51.
