Overnight Lane Closures Slated For Route 25A In Nassau, Suffolk

A pavement renewal project is slated to last for two weeks, and one lane will be closed each night.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Overnight lane closures are coming to Route 25A in Nassau and Suffolk counties starting Monday, the New York State Department of Transportation announced Friday.

One lane in either direction of Route 25A will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. between State Route 108 in the Town of Huntington and Annandale Drive in the Village of Oyster Bay Cove for approximately two weeks, weather permitting, for a pavement renewal project.

Drivers were urged by the department to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in one's driver's license being suspended.
