Person Fatally Struck By LIRR Train In Huntington: MTA
A male was on a railroad crossing when he was struck early Sunday, the MTA says.
HUNTINGTON, NY — A male was fatally struck by a train at an LIRR crossing in Huntington early Sunday, an MTA spokesman said.
The male, not authorized to be on the track, was struck just before 2 a.m. at the Lake Road railroad crossing in Huntington, the MTA said. MTA police are investigating, and no criminality was suspected.
The train left Jamaica at 1:11 a.m. and was due in Port Jefferson at 2:36 a.m.
