'Resilient' Dolly, Ratchet And Socket: Huntington Adoptable Pets Of The Week
Dolly, Ratchet and Socket, around 3 months old, were born in a dark, overheated shed. They are "full of personality."

HUNTINGTON, NY — Dolly, Ratchet and Socket, around 3 months old, are the Grateful Paw Cat Shelter's Huntington Pets of the Week.
The three kittens were born in a "dark, overheated shed behind an auto body shop in Islip," said Debbi Larkin, president of the shelter. The trio emerged from a group of 14, "each with their own spirit and story to tell," Larkin said.
"Though their start in life was uncertain, Dolly, Ratchet, and Socket have quickly proven just how resilient, affectionate, and full of personality they truly are," Larkin said.

Dolly may be petite, but she makes up for her size with a "big, spirited personality," according to Larkin.
"Always eager to be first in line, she greets the world with cheerful determination," she said. "With her striking black and dark brown tiger stripes, Dolly is as beautiful as she is bold. She loves belly rubs and often drifts into sleep curled up in a warm lap, showing off her softer side."

Ratchet, with his light grey and white tiger coat and wide, expressive eyes, is the "easygoing soul" of the trio, Larkin noted.
"Gentle and good-natured with both humans and siblings, he has a playful streak that keeps him so entertained with toys that he sometimes forgets mealtime," she said. "But when the fun is over, Ratchet is happiest soaking up affection, especially belly rubs and soft touches."
Socket is the soft, dark grey "charmer" of the group, with an "irresistible face and a growing love of human companionship," Larkin said.
"Well on his way to becoming a full-fledged lap cat, he often perches sweetly on your foot, meowing for attention until he’s scooped up for cuddles. Friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets,
Socket is a little lovebug who thrives on connection."
All three kittens have tested negative for FELV and FIV, have had all of their vaccines, had their ears, eyes and heart checked out perfectly, tested negative for parasites, are litter box trained, have been spayed or neutered and are microchipped.
