The former teacher was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of his students last year.

A former teacher in the South Huntington School District accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of his students pleaded guilty in Suffolk County Court last week.
Brian Dreher, 41, of Huntington Station, a former social studies teacher at Walt Whitman High School, pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct, sex abuse, criminal sex act and rape charges on Monday, Jan. 8, court records show.
Police say an investigation into Dreher's conduct discovered that he was having an inappropriate relationship with one of his 16-year-old female students, police say. Dreher was arrested at his home in May 2017. He was charged with third-degree rape, third-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.
