SUV Strikes, Seriously Injures Pedestrian In Huntington Station
The crash occurred on Friday night.

A man suffered serious injuries after police say he was struck by a SUV while crossing a street in Huntington Station on Friday night.
According to authorities, 34-year-old Huntington Station resident Daryl Sair was crossing New York Avenue, near Fairmount Street, when he was struck by a southbound 2006 Toyota Rav 4 at 11:25 p.m.
Huntington Community First Aid Squad transported Sair to Huntington Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The driver of the Rav 4, 21-year-old Huntington resident Nicolas Baldanza, was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
