Vehicle 'Fully Engulfed' By Flames In Huntington Crash: Police

The vehicle caught fire after crashing into a pole, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A vehicle was "fully engulfed" in flames following a crash in Huntington on Friday morning, Suffolk police said.

Officers were called to Spring Road, near Spring Court, when a vehicle crashed into a pole at 10 a.m. Wires came down, and the vehicle was lit ablaze. The driver was able to exit the vehicle uninjured, police said.

Spring Road was closed between Delaware and Canyon streets.
