LONG ISLAND, NY — Closures on the Northern State Parkway scheduled for Thursday night into Friday morning across the towns of Oyster Bay and Huntington have been postponed, the New York State Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The closures were targeted for the stretch of the parkway between exit 38 (Sunnyside Boulevard) in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, and exit 40 (State Route 110) in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, weather permitting, to facilitate pavement repairs. Below are details, provided by the department:
On Thursday, all eastbound lanes were set to be closed at exit 38 beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Vehicles were to be detoured onto southbound Sunnyside Boulevard to the eastbound Long Island Expressway to exit 49N for northbound State Route 110 to return to the Northern State Parkway.
