LONG ISLAND, NY — Hold onto your jackets, Long Island.

The last week of April won't reach more than a high of 60 degrees on Tuesday, with a north wind of 6 to 8 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Long Islanders can expect the last of April showers from Wednesday afternoon to early Thursday.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. North wind 6 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Northeast wind 5 to 11 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 58.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 57.
