Spring Weather To Return To Long Island This Weekend

LONG ISLAND, NY — Warm, spring weather is set to return to Long Island, after a cold first week of May.

After a slight chance of showers on Friday morning and night, the sun will show itself again on Saturday, with a high of near 65 degrees.

Sunday will be true to its name this weekend with a high near 68 degrees. The warmth will only continue into Monday, with a high of 69 degrees.

Friday: A slight chance of showers before 9am, then a chance of showers after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 59. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. South wind around 6 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind around 8 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
