Levittown Schools Valedictorians, Salutatorians to Be Commended at BOE Meeting

The Levittown Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at Levittown Memorial.

The meeting will be highlighted by a student academic presentation by Gardiners Ave. Elementary School, as well as the announcement of two L. I. Youth Summit Winners from MacArthur High School, one finalist in the Williams Institute Ethics Essay Contest, and an art display by Gardiners Ave.

The board will also commend the selection of Valedictorians and Salutatorians of MacArthur and Division HS. For Division, the honor of Valedictorian goes to James Reilly and Salutatorian to Sukhneet Sahota. At MacArthur, the honor of Valedictorian goes to Liam Lang, with Salutatorian going to Harley Dietz. 

The board is also expected to approve the selection of two sites for the Universal Pre-K program for the 2013-14 school year: Tender Garden, located at 3100 Hempstead Tpke., and Kiddie Junction, located at 3 North Village Grn.

The next Levittown BOE meeting will be the fourth budget planning session and first budget hearing, to be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m.
