Salk Wrestling Team Completes Successful Season

The wrestling team of Levittown’s Salk Middle School continued its proud winning tradition by defeating every team it faced this year.    

A highlight of the season was the defeat of cross-town rival Wisdom Lane, also from the Levittown School District, early in the season. Salk was down by one point going into the last match. However, Dom Ferrara had the team’s fate in his hands and defeated his opponent with a pin, giving Salk the dual meet win.

The dual meet starting lineup this season was Nick Cardone, Thomas Cummings, Christian Dougherty, Dom Ferrara, Matt Kalstek, Calvin Louie, Liam McAllister, Joey Mutino, Benny Orlando, Sebastian Romero, Steven Szilagyi and Joey Vigliarolo. 

Other wrestlers that had extremely successful seasons were Thomas Cappiello, Christian Coradin, Kyle Draghi, A.J. Lohmuller, Eddie McAllister, Alex Stambouli, Joe Wallace and Kyle Young.   

The athletic staff at Salk Middle School would like to congratulate the team members and wish them best of luck as wrestlers at MacArthur High School.
