LEVITTOWN, NY — Dozens of Division Avenue's top seniors have been honored. Thirty-seven stellar students from the Class of 2020 were recognized at the school's annual Blue and Silver Luncheon on Dec. 5, the district said.
Organized by student council advisers Lynn Castellano and Gerard Marzigliano, the beautifully decorated room was filled with Division Avenue pride with the help of the school's guidance department.
Tonie McDonald, the superintendent, attended the luncheon to honor the seniors, as did members of central administration, district directors, building administrators, board members and select teachers. The seniors excelled academically and served as positive school leaders during their four years.

Principal John Coscia expressed his pride in the students for all they have done for the high school.
"They strive for outstanding academic achievement while also demonstrating exemplary character," he said. "They set the bar extremely high for themselves, registering for and succeeding in the most rigorous Advanced Placement courses, college courses and extracurricular activities."

Attendees played games of Kahoot! with others at their tables. Using tablets, groups worked together to answer questions about different colleges and universities. Students from the top tables received free Spirit Night tickets and the winning staffers received Division Avenue lanyards.
Before digging into the delicious food, each senior presented slides listing their top five schools, their intended major of study, favorite high school memory and what they'll miss most.
The district congratulated the following top students: Christian Aguilar, Syed Ahmed, Megan Avner, Alison Barry, Shawn Berman, Emily Bonacchi, Erin Cacciuttolo, Nicholas Ciotoli, Grace Connors, Jacquelyn Devaney, Leah Draluck, Mya Ferreiro, Emily Fuchs, Michael Giordano, Danielle Hegel, Shannon Hetzel, Ravneek Kaur, Jai Kaur, Samiullah Khan, Carol Kim, Khushi Kumar, Anjela Ladhar, Adriana Lemieux, Brennan Mulqueen, Oscar Ng, Connor Oliva, Kaitlyn O’Toole, Purva Padh, John Rasmussen, Nataly Rodriguez, Charlize Rojas, Victor Shin, Jaclyn Spector, Thomas Staab, Jacqueline Testamark, Abel Varghese and Laura Watson.
