100: Attend a High School Spring Sports Game

There are so many things to do and see in Lindenhurst, and every other Wednesday Patch will highlight one idea or activity you could check out right here in your hometown.

We’ll start at 100 and count them down. So, here’s number 100 to kick things off:

Attend a High School Spring Sports

Lindy Pride doesn’t exclusively derive from the variety of sports played at the high school, but it sure is a large source of it.

No matter what sport is being played – from baseball and to softball, tennis, track and even badminton – students, parents and residents alike pull for the Bulldogs to win, every time.

This year’s slate of are just beginning, and giving Lindy something about which to cheer.

For example, the , led by , will be stepping onto the at the Lindenhurst Middle School () to its 2010 state .

Both the are also starting their seasons hungry for a spot. The is led now by Head Coach , and the girls’ team is led by Head Coach Tom Carro.

So brave the wintry chill still in the air, and support your . Look for the teams’ schedules and coverage right here on Lindenhurst Patch.

Today, the is away at West Islip at 4:30 p.m.

Upcoming home games include:

·     The taking on Harborfields Thursday at 4 p.m., at the LMS.
