1st Graders In The Copiague School District Celebrate Mother's Day

COPIAGUE, NY — May 12 was Mother's Day, and students at Great Neck Road Elementary School in the Copiague School District celebrated their moms a few days early on May 9.

First-grade classes held a Mother’s Day celebration and invited guests to join in the fun. During the celebration, where the kids sang songs celebrating the holiday, shared why they think their mother is the best, created works of art and wrote about all the reasons they love their mothers. The students also shared cookies and snacks with the guests.
