24-Year-Old Man Shot in West Babylon

He was sitting in a car when he was shot Thursday afternoon, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY – A 24-year-old man was shot while sitting in a car Thursday afternoon in West Babylon, Suffolk Police said.

The Lindenhurst man was sitting in a car at the corner of Commander Avenue and Straight Path when he was shot at about 3:40 p.m. The man, who police did not name, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
