The Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst will host the 55th Annual Larry Troiano Memorial Steak Fry on August 8 at Fireman’s Park.
This year's Steak Fry will be open for public enjoyment from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Through the years the Steak Fry has served more than 1,200 steaks, several hundred hamburgers and breasts of chicken. Each of them has come complete with an ear of fresh corn, Caesar salad, potato salad, rolls and cake.
This year’s event will feature a new host, as Applebee’s takes over for the long-used Outback Steakhouse as the provider of food for the event.
In addition to the food available for purchase - $12.00 for a steak or chicken dinner or $7.00 for a hamburger dinner - the Club sells raffle tickets at the Steak Fry to help raise money.
Residents could also call JoAnn Boettcher at 631-422-9292 for tickets and information.
