Good morning, Lindenhurst! The day may be starting a little cold and dreary, but the weather forecast is calling for some breaks of sun later in the day. And a warm-up to more spring-like temperatures is expected as the week wears on.
And what a busy week it is around Lindy! Here are the top five things you need to know to start your day, and your week:
1. Tonight is the Village of Lindenhurst’s reorganization meeting at . It starts at 7 p.m.

2. The Spring Concert at elementary school is also tonight. It starts at 7 p.m., as well.
3. Themed Reading Is out of This World, E.W. Bower elementary school's Parents as Reading Partners week continues. It kicked off April 1 with a full day of Skydome Interactive Planetarium Assemblies. Carry a Poem in Your Pocket Day is April 5, and the Scholastic Spring Book Fair is April 7 from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. in the gym.

As part of Bower’s PARP, visit the between April 1-8 and enter your name in a raffle. Complete reading logs and contracts, and hand in activity packets to win more prizes.
4. The PTA is holding its executive meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight while the elementary school PTA is also meeting at 7:30 p.m. this evening.
5. Are you a closet writer? Then stop down at the LML for a . Gather your journals, memoirs, short stories and poems, and join instructor Mary Haughey for a journey of self-expression. All levels of ability are welcome. It runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today.
The LML is also offering today from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It’s for adults 21 years and older who are unable to attend classes on a regular basis and wish to prepare for the NYS Equivalency Diploma (GED).
