Challenger All-Star Game Set for Saturday Night

Tickets for a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction in support of the Lindy American Challenger Division will also be available at the June 2 event.

This weekend the Lindenhurst American All-Stars are set to show off the skills they've learned on the diamond this year.

They'll do so "under the lights" at the annual Challenger at the field at Town Hall this Saturday night.

The opening ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on June 2.

Then the games begin shortly thereafter with the Blue Jays and Angels playing at 7:45 p.m., followed by the Yankees and Orioles taking the field at 9 p.m.

There'll also be a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction in support of the league's Challenger program, which is run by Director Anthony Chironno, along with Assistant Director Dave Barrett.

The features players with physical and/or mental disabilities, and here it's all about playing the game and having a good time, and not who wins or loses.

Players will also participate in the Nassau County Challenger Tournament on at the Little League .
