Welcome back to the work week, Lindy. The sultry temps may be kept at bay today, but here are some to help you stay and healthy during the heat of summer. And be sure to check out of a South Shore beach.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

1. Today is the day in the Town of Babylon can obtain at . Lindenhurst Patch will be there, so look for a today.

Update: 2. According to town officials, tonight's movie, , has been postponed due to impending weather conditions. The new date is July 26, same time and same place: at 8:30 p.m. as part of the Town of Babylon’s .

3. There’s a Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 officers meeting tonight at 8 p.m.

4. There are several events happening at the , including the (YA) at 7 p.m. and Cartooning for Kids at , and See the LML website for more details and events.

5. Space is also still available in the last two sessions of Lindenhurst Schools summer swim program, according to the district’s website. The cost for lessons is $35.00 per child; bring a check or money order payable to Lindenhurst Public Schools. Session Two started July 18. It runs through July 29. Session Three starts August 1 and runs through August 12. Class start times are 9 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

6. The 2011-12 supply list and elementary school supply list are now available on the ’s website. The 2011-12 calendar is also available.
