Fundraising Comedy
South Shore Theatre Experience is presenting Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, which are original one-act comedies by various playwrights.

It's a fundraiser for MS News and Views and Strength for Life, according to organizers.

The show started Thursday. It's also running on Friday and Saturday, , at 8 p.m., at the Arts Center in Lindenhurst.

Art Show
The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA) 23rd Annual Juried Judged Art Exhibition Friday, but ends Saturday.

The show - presented by the Lindenhurst-based Arts Center - is set for at in Babylon Village.

Entries for this year's must be original works which haven't been previously exhibited in a BACCA show. Three current original works may be submitted; at least one will be accepted.

Fundraiser for Ailing LFD Ex-Captain
A benefit for the family of Ex-Captain Douglas Mulholland of the Chemical and Salvage Company Number Two is set for . He's battling colon cancer.

Sign in for the Lindenhurst Fire Department Ride for a Brother Poker Run will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the .

All motorcycles, classic cars and hot rods are welcome.

The ride will end at Firemen's Pavilion in the park, where the last hand of poker will take place at 2 p.m.

In addition there's also a benefit cook-out to follow at the Pavilion with music, raffles, 50/50 and a Chinese auction.

The Nassau County Sheriff Officers' Association's Widows' and Children's Fund is holding a motorcycle and car show fundraiser on Sunday, Father's Day, June 17. All proceeds will benefit the Widows' and Children's Fund.

It's sponsored by SK-Speed and Kevin S. Meyer Allstate Agency.

High School Musical Jr. Children's Theatre is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.

Seeking New Members, Holding Fundraiser
The Lindenhurst Band Parents Association is recruiting new members by reaching out to the parents of eighth-graders at the and current students.

The Association will also have an , and members will be selling wristbands at a discounted price as a fundraiser.
