Local Theater Group Presents 'A Christmas Carol'

Performances scheduled for later this week at BACCA Theater in Lindenhurst.

The Lindenhurst theater group StageLight Entertainment is looking for the community’s support as it tries to recover from Hurricane Sandy.

The group is presenting “A Christmas Carol, A Musical” December 21 to 23 at the BACCA Arts Center, 149 North Welwood Ave. in Lindenhurst. The performances are set for 8 p.m on the 21st and 22nd and at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the 23rd. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children and seniors.

Kerry Quirke, a Lindenhurst resident and founder of StageLight, told Patch that flood waters from Sandy destroyed nearly all sets, costumes, scripts, lighting and sound equipment and insurance is not covering the cost of replacing the items.

“The bigger the audience, the faster we can start rebuilding our company,” Quirke said.
