Lindenhurst-Bayport Duo Splits Million-Dollar Lottery Prize
The winners hail from Lindenhurst and Bayport, according to the New York Lottery.
LINDENHURST, NY – A lucky Long Island duo has claimed a $1,000,000 prize on the New York Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game, according to lottery officials.
Sergen Kup of Lindenhurst and Murat Dindar of Bayport split the million-dollar prize down the middle with each receiving a one-time lump sum payment of $325,000, after required withholdings, the lottery reported.
The lucky winners purchased the ticket at Elda NY LTD (New York HUSCO Mini Mart) located at 700 South County Rd. in East Patchogue.

New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4,406,338,198 in total sales during fiscal year 2022-2023. School districts in Suffolk County received $359,484,595 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period, according to the lottery.
