Man Robs Lindenhurst Bank

LINDENHURST, NY – A man robbed a bank in Lindenhurst Friday afternoon.

According to Suffolk Police, a man entered Apple Bank for Savings located at 151 East Sunrise Highway at 4:05 p.m. He approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and gave him cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot southbound on N. Indiana Avenue.

The man was described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a medium build and thick brown beard. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, baseball cap and sunglasses.

Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
