Menchie's Is Coming to Lindenhurst

Lindenhurst is soon getting a new frozen yogurt place.

According to a sign in a once-empty storefront in Sunrise Plaza in North Lindenhurst, a Menchie's location of the frozen yogurt chain will be opening.

So far the chain has 200 locations worldwide.

According to the website, Menchie’s is a self-serve frozen yogurt franchise that allows customers to blend their own flavors and choose from more than 40 toppings. Then customers weigh their creations and pay per ounce.

In addition to frozen yogurt, Menchie’s also serves a variety of fruit sorbets, as well as low-carb and sugar-free yogurts. Freshly made waffle bowls are also available.

A trained "mixologist” is also on hand to help customers, according to the Menchie's website.

A Facebook page for Menchie's Sunrise Plaza has been set up for the new location, though neither the sign nor the page has offered an opening date yet.

The new location at 646B North Wellwood Avenue would be flanked by a fairly new insurance company - First Choice Insurance Agency, Incorporated - that took over the storefront that once housed Maresa Jewelry, and , which has been in the Plaza for years.
