The branch in Lindenhurst was robbed Friday, according to Suffolk County Police Major Case Investigations Unit detectives. The bank robbery is under investigation.
According to police, a entered the bank, located at 151 East Sunrise Highway, at 12:30 p.m. today and handed a teller a note demanding cash.
The teller complied with the demand, and the suspect fled the scene and drove south on North Indiana Avenue, police said.

The is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-6, in his 50s with a stocky build, according to police.
He was wearing a tan-colored, parka-style jacket, black gloves, black-rimmed glasses and a tan-baseball cap, police said.
