3rd Prize-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley

Lottery officials said there were four third-prize winning tickets from the Jan. 7 drawing, plus one $1 million second-prize winning ticket.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — There were several prize-winning tickets from the Jan. 7 Powerball drawing, including one purchased in the Hudson Valley.

New York Lottery officials said a third-prize winning ticket from the Jan. 7 Powerball drawing worth $50,000 was sold in Poughkeepsie.

It was purchased at 1118 Mannat Inc., located at 818 Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.

Three other tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Franklin Square, Buffalo and Bronx, lottery officials said. There was one second-prize winning ticket worth $1 million sold in Gowanda.

The winning numbers for Jan. 7 are 35-36-44-45-67, with a Powerball of 14.

The second-prize winning ticket correctly had all five numbers without the Powerball. The third-prize tickets had four numbers correct plus the Powerball, according to the New York Lottery website.

Monday’s jackpot is $340 million.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
